I think you’re right about the shirts listed, especially when they play off a marketing slogan. At the same time, I would hate to make fun of our kids who see this as a way to show their faith. I appreciate their impulse even if they are going about it all wrong.
I like camp T-shirts, VBS shirts, or something that has a story behind it. Like my son wears his “Man Camp” shirt and can tell other kids about the Dad & Son camp we attended.

I think the point behind the slogan shirts is to “start a conversation”… I’m just not sure if we’re starting the right conversations. I agree… camp/ministry/event shirts help us start the right conversations like, “what’s that all about?”
I think Christian t-shirts are 2 fold. one they are interesting conversation starters. Sometimes simply because they are so ridiculous and sometimes because they are cool.
The next thing about t-shirts is that people like to wear them simply because they are cool looking. There are a ton of t-shirts out there that look cool but they have some stuff that many people feel is not appropriate like skulls and other symbols that many Christians find offensive. So at least when you buy a christian t-shirt you’re pretty confident that there’s nothing bad on them.
